Wine on One- Repping the Brand
Tuesday Oct 31, 2017
Tuesday Oct 31, 2017
When was the last time a car cut you off, only for you to realize it was wrapped in your favorite charity's logo. Or you witnessed someone being rude to a store employee while wearing (gulp) the tee shirt from YOUR fundraiser?
There's a lot to think about when it comes to nonprofit branding and not all of it is under our control... especially if you give out a lot of swag.
Marjorie and Natalie grabbed some wine to talk about the ramifications of boarish employees on social media, rude donors in the community, and bad drivers in your organization's cars and what you can do to protect your brand from them.

You probably read the article from the Charleston City Paper by Angel Postell entitled Constantly Asking Restaurants to Give Freebies to Charities has Got to Stop.
Owner of BEAST Craft BBQ Co. in Belleville, IL, David Sandusky had to respond to Angel and all other restaurant owners who don't think that giving is part of a smart business plan.
David shared his strategy and motivation for giving to the community and what nonprofits can do to increase their chances of a gift... but not his recipe for the fry sauce that Marjorie can't get enough of.
You can show your support for this true community supporter by going to BEAST Craft BBQ Co. at 20 S Belt W, Belleville, IL 62220, going to their website at http://www.beastcraftbbq.com/ or calling 618-257-9000 or checking them out on Facebook.

Wine on One- When to Promote the Mission
Tuesday Mar 07, 2017
Tuesday Mar 07, 2017
When your work and life balance really looks like work life soup, it's hard to know when it's the right time to promote your mission to your friends and family.
Is Christmas dinner the right time to ask if Aunt Ethel will come to the Gala? Is after church the right time to talk to your fellow congregants about volunteering?
Marjorie and Natalie pop open a bottle of wine to discuss when the time is right to promote your mission and when it's just not.
